I keep hearing noises...there was a faint pop earlier, and now I keep hearing sounds like someone is moving around somewhere to the left and behind me. I get very paranoid whenever people are behind me and I can't see what they're doing. I'm sort of scared silly right now. Help me?

I should probably mention that the nearest person that I am aware of is my mother, who is sleeping on the couch two rooms away.
