On Aug. 27 this year, Mars will be 34.65 million miles (55.76 million kilometers) away. The last opposition, in 2001, involved a separation of more than 41 million miles (67 million kilometers). In 1995, the distance between the two worlds was nearly double what it will be later this year.

So I joined this community a few months ago, but I haven't bothered to post anything yet because right after I joined my life changed and I've been incredibly happy. I'm in love, and there is no better feeling in the world than that. I can smile now, and have it be real. I can laugh without forcing myself. And I just feel...alive. I realized that there is a light at the end of the tunnel, all you have to do is hold on until you find it, or it finds you, in my case. Things will get better, no matter how bad they seem now. Just believe it. That's all I really wanted to say....besides...wistful_nana_o, I love you always and forever!!!!!
