my friend tells me that she was with her mother at CVS the other day. my friend was looking at cocoa butter because she has these really bad scars on her legs from some medication that she had to take last summer, bad reaction. she's really self-conscious about, especially with the warm weather coming. my friend is also a cutter. when she was looking at the cocoa butter to help lessen the scars, her mother, right there, tells her that she can use it on the scars on her arms too in a really bitchy tone, and saying that she doesn't know why she would ever do that and blah blah blah! i am also a cutter so i know that that is a really shitty thing to say to someone. it makes you feel like absolute shit, like her mother thought she ejoys it or sees it as a positive thing. i understand that her mother cares about her and she just doesn't know how to handle something like this, but it was just really insensitive.

So what do all you guys think about the May Day Immigration marches coming up?

[EDIT/]
Sorry, folks, I guess I assumed that everyone is a crazy political freak who reads all the news every day!

Anyway, for those of you who are not in America or simply have not heard about it, there is a huge debate going on right now about the 12 million-odd illegal immigrants (majority from Mexico but there are Asian, Russian, European in there too) living in the United States. Bush wants to give them worker visas which would allow them to come here to work and then go home. Many people want to make illegal immigrants felons, stage mass deportations, and build a big old wall (Berlin-style) along the Mexico-US border.

Obviously, the latinos are incredibly pissed off.

There have been protests already, and marches, and walk-outs.

On May 1 (May Day, a big day for Socialists btw) there is a national protest to be held which is planned to "cripple US cities". Basically, all the latinos, other immigrants, and supporters are walking out of school, work, etc. and onto the streets to protest. It is supposed to wake the US law-makers up to how damn integral these people are to our economy and our country. It is non-violent, of course, but there is always the chance with huge-scale protests like these that something could get out of hand.

There is a lot more info out there if you google around or check out some news sites.

I guess I was just interested to see some opinions, reactions, thoughts?

[ANOTHER EDIT/]
Here is a news story about it if you like:

Yes yes, old news. I too saw Hostel, the movie just like most likely everyone else in here when it FIRST came out. I was just wondering, upon watching it once more just now. What do you think are the chances of such a place exsisting? Ah, and I also (even though I watched it when it first came out as well in japanese) just bought FF7 Advent Children. Haven't watched it in english yet...I hope the voice actors are decent.

*thumps head*

I cried during at a fully happy anime show. I just felt this sudden urge of tears, mainly because I noticed how exaggerated the anime seems. But there was really nothing to cry about.

*gasps horrified*

Nurses, I'm staying full time to my ward.

*looks at the label* Room 66.

Pretty number isn't it?

I need to sleep properly but I can't. I sleep at almost 12-1 am and I feel so tired. I'm depressed. :( This whole Harry Potter ordeal is depressing me.
Can you understand me, the least bit?
